When not helping clients, Derek loves coastal adventures. Scuba diving, hiking, paddleboarding and open water swimming are favorites. Early mornings you can find him and canine sidekick Sukha greeting the day at Albany Beach. He and wife Annemarie raised two kids in the Berkeley Hills and they continue to reside there with her chickens and bees.
